Pulverised Records News – May / June 2010

Crucifyre Signs With Pulverised Records!

Emerging from the depths of Stockholm Hell comes CRUCIFYRE, the latest inclusion to the Pulverised roster!
CRUCIFYRE was spawned from members of the legendary Swedish pioneers Morbid, Crematory and Afflicted, and together with some of the most affluential bands such as Nasum and General Surgery.
The band recently completed their much awaited debut full-length album, a follow-up to their 2006’s “Thessalonian Death Cult” Demo. More details and information about the new album will be revealed in the near future.
In an official press statement from CRUCIFYRE‘s drummer Y. Hillborg: “Working with Pulverised Records feels great. It’s like we’ve come home and have been given the chance to do what we do best, to deliver auditory terror in the most evil and aggressive way”.
States Pulverised Records label manager Roy Yeo: “With present and past members from such highly respected bands, it is really interesting to see what these guys could come up with in CRUCIFYRE. I can only say that the debut album has exceeded beyond my expectations!
CRUCIFYRE is exactly the kind of band that displayed the attitude of those early demo bands and with the integral nastiness that Death Metal should be known for.”

GxSxD Signs with Pulveriser Records!
It is with great privilege to announce the official signing of Japan’s upcoming Death Metal fiends GxSxD!
GxSxD (which stands for God Send Death) exploded into the Japanese Extreme Metal scene in 2002 and barely a decade into the band’s career, GxSxD found themselves touring massively throughout their homeland and thus gaining widespread popularity as one of the most powerful Death Metal acts to have emerged from Japan.
With an unforgettable trademark of the Japanese-tattooed twin brothers Yusuke and Yohsuke Oka‘s synchronised windmill headbanging style; and with the unforgiving assault of heavily-induced Euro-Death Metal, GxSxD is definitely the perfect combination of flawless musicianship with an amazing stage presence.
The band commented: “Finally we have found our home!! We are very excited to work with Pulverised Records since we’ve been recognizing them as one of best label. We’ll prove what we can do. Expect our Pulverised release.”
States Pulverised Records A&R Manager Calvin: “I was instantly jaw-dropped by what I heard when I discovered GxSxD! Unbelievably tight and a literally vicious twin-guitar attack, GxSxD caught our attention and we knew they are an exceptional class of their own. After some discussions with the band, the deal was quickly sealed and plans are currently underway for their second full-length effort, which we should expect sometime this year. GxSxD is truly an unstoppable force and be prepared for their brand of barbaric Death Metal!”
Pulverised Records label manager Roy Yeo also added: “I had the pleasure of seeing GxSxD live in action when they stopped by in Singapore recently. The band is just visually stunning on stage and I was absolutely blown away! GxSxD is probably one of the most outstanding Death Metal band coming from Asia that I have heard in a long time, and also not forgetting that Japanese bands are notoriously known for producing real quality Metal. It is a great honour to have GxSxD as a part of the Pulverised family and we will expect nothing less than a devastatingly crushing album from GxSxD!”

Watch GxSxD performing “The Abyss” live at Image, Okayama in Japan, track taken off from the 2008 split album “Fighting On The Edge” at this location.

Desultory Completes New Recording – Album Title Revealed!
Reactivated legendary Death Metallers DESULTORY has recently completed work their upcoming album, which will be entitled “Counting Our Scars”.
The band recorded, mixed and mastered the effort with Tore Stjerna at Necromorbus Studio (Watain, Unanimated, Deströyer 666, etc) in Alvik, Sweden.
Work is also currently underway for the new album’s cover artwork and layout, and more announcement on this will be made available soon.
Among some of the song titles to be included (in no particular order) on “Counting Our Scars” are “In A Cage”, “Counting Our Scars”, “Ready To Bleed”, “This Broken Halo”, “Uneven Numbers”, etc.
The band commented: “What gets inside always stays inside. This music once shaped us and the marks it left will forever keep itching. Desultory never died, it just went down deep below and beneath the surface it slowly kept growing. Throughout the years, there are many of you out there who never stopped waiting, asking the same question over and over. Now when we finally meet again, ‘Counting Our Scars’ feels like liberation, the bleeding  is over. This album is for all of us who never stopped waiting.”

Klas Morberg – Vocals, Guitars
Håkan Morberg – Guitars
Johan Bolin – Bass
Thomas Johnson – Drums
